Laboratoires CYCLOPHARMA installed at the Biôpole Clermont-Limagne conducts research and development, manufacture and marketing of short half-life isotopes and particularly 18 FDG.

This latter will be used with the TEP SCAN at the Centre Jean Perrin.

18 FDG is used in Oncology to diagnose certain diseases and also for therapeutic monitoring once treatment has been started. Other types of fluorine tracers are currently in research and development as part of a Research/Industry partnership with INSERM research units at Toulouse, Tours and of course with unit 484 at Clermont-Ferrand with whom several research subjects are currently at various stages of advancement.
